Bra Sizing for Men, Practically and Privately
Sizing math does not check who is measuring. A snug underbust and a fullest-point chest measurement produce a band and cup for any body, and every calculator here runs privately in your browser. This page covers the cases men actually search for: support, compression for gynecomastia, and plain curiosity, without judgment on any of them.
Measuring is identical
Use the standard two-step method: tape snug and level under the chest, then relaxed around the fullest point, into the calculator. Male chest tissue typically produces differences in the AA-C range on bands 36 and up, sizes that absolutely exist in production garments. Fit rules transfer unchanged: the band anchors level, the cup contains without cutting.
Gynecomastia and compression, done right
For a flatter silhouette, purpose-built compression beats improvised solutions on comfort, invisibility and safety. Gynecomastia compression shirts and vests spread pressure across the whole torso panel rather than concentrating it in a band, come sized by simple chest measurement, and follow the universal compression rule we give on the shapewear page: your measured size compresses correctly, sizing down only adds rolling edges and dig lines. Wear time limits and deep-breathing comfort apply exactly as they do for any compression garment.
The health note that belongs here
Adolescent gynecomastia usually resolves on its own; adult-onset changes commonly trace to weight, medications or hormones. New, one-sided, painful or rapidly changing chest tissue merits a routine medical conversation, not because it is likely to be serious, but because change is always the thing worth checking. A sizing site can get a garment to fit; the underlying question, when there is one, belongs with a clinician.
