Bra Fit Basics: Start Here
Everything on this site hangs off a four-step path, and this page is the map. Follow the steps in order and the whole confusing topic becomes a sequence of two-minute tasks.
Step 1: Measure
Two numbers, snug underbust and relaxed bust, per the measuring guide, into the calculator. This gives your starting size in all 7 systems. No tape tonight? The Smart Fit tool gets you a working range from questions.
Step 2: Check fit
Put the starting size through the 10 fit checks: level band, tacking gore, tissue inside wires, light straps. Passing means done; failures name their own fixes.
Step 3: Adjust with sister sizes
Band problems with fitting cups move along the sister ladder, keeping cup volume while changing the frame. Specific symptoms route through the problem solver, which reads each failure and prescribes the exact step.
Step 4: Fine-tune by shape and brand
The last mile is construction: your shape picks the styles that distribute volume where your tissue actually is, and the brand decoder translates your measured size into each label's dialect. After that, sizes stop being mysterious and start being a solved reference you check yearly.
